Re: The Inverted Bike Shop
Knowing how your bicycle is put together is invaluable to me because I do most of my own repairs, and most of the time this is quicker than going to a shop to get new brake pads, etc. On thing I find interesting is people are willing to pay 3-4X as much for a custom frame bicycle than an out of box recumbent that is both faster and more comfortable.

Re: Inside Story - 'Kony 2012': The Future of Activism
The video was very clear. Raise awareness to Americans that Kony is a war criminal so that American troops will be sent to capture Kony and bring him to justice. Even though the video didn't say it, they want Kony dead. Did I miss something here?

Re: The Use And Abuse Of Vegetational Concepts
I liked the part about the internet led revolutions. They all would rebel and then had no idea how to replace the power they had toppled. While the internet is a wonderful tool for gaining information, it is no substitute for independent thought. If we all scoured the internet for our answers instead of performing original research ourselves, there would be no credible information to begin with. One other thing I would like to point out is that even though we cannot predict how nature will balance itself, complete destruction of large natural areas will result in losses of species. We don't need a model for that, it's happening. I would also like to point out that we are part of a natural environment because we still have to breathe, drink, and eat and so local pollution affects humans as well as the natural world.

Re: The Wanna Be Oddie
The characters closely resembled Mickey Mouse and his nemesis Pete, and it's B&W, but I'm not seeing a lot of noodle like arms/exaggerated squash and stretch.

Re: Walt Disney's MultiPlane Camera
There was a lot more work going into animation back in those days. Just think about that guy doing the grunt work of exposing every frame, or the person painting all the cels. Today those steps are eliminated. I believe 2D animation still has it's place in feature films.
