Re: Neil Young: Down by the river (1969)
Heh-heh. Welcome to the world of YouB()()O0O0oo..b.
Although I freely admit that finding quality content is far easier than it was just a couple of years ago, it is also far more fleeting.
That said, the stated position of our favorite publisher has changed a little bit over the years as well regarding finders keepers. I've been both beneficiary and victim of these policies and if you ultimately get credit, it's not going to make a hill of beans worth of difference.
Seriously? Just keep posting. Your choice of content is often well worth the price of admission.

Re: John McCain's Neverending War
Very nice, but McCain's death knell is going to be the same as Bush 41: "It's the economy, stupid!"
Advisor and former US Senator from Texas Phil Gramm is still on his top advisory staff. You know, the guy who said America has become a bunch of whiners and that it's only a MENTAL RECESSION? You know, the guy who drafted that legislation that exempted Enron? You know, the guy who voted to deregulate the mortgage industry so that subprime lending could become a phrase on everyone's lips.

Re: Iron Chef America: Cranberries
If you check out the start of the show, this wasn't exactly a competition with a winner and a loser.
Personally, I kind of dislike both celebrity chefs as their TV personas consist of pasted-on smiles and cutesy TV giggles.

Re: The Lockers: Malt Liquor Commercial
How is this racist? African Americans performing a song-dance act in promoting an adult beverage? Now, if the voiceover came on and said that this was all these actors were good for, that would be racist.
Forgive me for pointing out what is a common misconception. I am not picking on you, rather just stating what I see to be as the facts. As one who comes from a minority heritage myself, I see a need to differentiate.

Re: The Bears.
There would be no flaw in your assertion about the pandas except they were thriving for millions of years before we intruded on their habitat. They are literally starving to death because that one type of bamboo is no longer in great supply. The bamboo doesn't grow in villagers' homes.

Re: MIssion HIll: Pilot Episode
Mission Hill (formerly known as The Downtowners, although MTV's production of the similarly titled Downtown forced a name change) was an American animated television series that first aired on The WB in 1999. Although 13 episodes were produced, the show was cancelled after six were aired. The show was put on hiatus by the WB Network after two episodes due to poor ratings. It returned to the WB in the summer of 2000 but was cancelled after four additional episodes. The show went on to develop a cult following, thanks to repeated airings of all 13 episodes on Teletoon's "Teletoon Unleashed" block, TBS's "Too Funny To Sleep" block, and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Though I wasn't around during WWII, I've heard some stories from my father and others of his generation. I believe their accounts far more than I do any documentary because it's been glorified by so many with their own agendas.
