If I didn't know any better I might say it was the inspiration for Fallout...the original one.

Re: Top gear: Ford Fiesta Test (With A Twist)
Yeah but I have to laugh every time that Jezza says, "due to the unique way the BBC is funded"!!

Re: Top gear: Ford Fiesta Test (With A Twist)
Honestly, I don't know how these idiots always get to pull off this crazy ars shite.
What's next, a rally in the House of Lords?
Jezza does seem to have a cold all the time, but I think it may be file compression that makes his voice over sound so deep. Dunno though.

I am afraid you have contradicted your self.

Re: Bert & Ernie: Heeeeeere Fishy Fishy Fishy
Well you see, it is a framing exercise for the diverse personalities involved right? Ernie is laid back and care free, while Burt is uptight and orderly.
It's sort of like watching Burt get high and not quite getting it.

That's what you call situational comedy...the situation is funny, no punch line needed.

It's always awkward when you revisit your childhood memories with ones adult and worldly wisdom...kinda makes you wonder what mom and dad put in the orange juice...

Re: Ralph Nader Challenges Obama While Visiting Ub Law School
"I am of the position that it's not government's job to provide for the needy; only to see that they are given every opportunity to improve themselves and their standing."
Actually if you study political science, you learn that government is a way for weak people to band together and defend against bandits. It is intrinsically socialistic, otherwise you end up with an Autocracy.
How do you explain Roosevelt and his New Deal? Are you going to tell me that he was mistaken when he created social support for the unemployed? He did bring us out of the Depression.
Government works best when it is socialist. It is the job of government to improve the life of the nations citizens, not to line the pockets of the nations industries.

Re: Ralph Nader Challenges Obama While Visiting Ub Law School
Your right, he is light years ahead of Obama. But the US needs someone who has there feet on the ground right now, someone who is not in some fantasy world where only poverty is an issue. What do you think US voters cared about most this last election? War. Not poverty.
Obama is a man of the times, not some visionary zealot.

Re: Microsoft SecondLight
That is really cool.
Can anyone tell me what the practical use of it might be though? Will we all need to carry our own wallet sized translucent reader card to "get the joke"?
It seems a bit of a gimmick I am sorry to say. If anyone can name a legitimate practical use though, I am all ears.
