Re: Balls of Steel: The Annoying Devil Part 2
Whilst many of the stunts probably were done for real, as with many programmes of this ilk you have to train yourself into thinking how the programme was made and be able to spot the setups and fakes. Case in point: the devil brollies.

Sure, one person could take an umbrella and walk off not realising but you have to think that when there are 3 or 4 people in the same street, especially when they are walking in front of eachother, that they would definitely have noticed one or more of the other umbrellas and checked out their own. Also everyone immediately slung the umbrella towards the back, whereas most of the time I think you'll find people tend to protect their faces from the rain by tilting it forwards. Tilting it forwards would also make it easy to see the writing through the translucent black nylon.

Yes I think too much.

Re: Whose Line: Living Scenery Cheerleaders
There were loads of people on it over its long run, but there were some guests who were more regular than others. In early series John Sessions was on it every week (he's rubbish and annoying though). Josie Lawrence was there for the musical numbers. Paul Merton, Tony Slattery, Greg Proops, Steve Frost, Sweeney and Steen...
I think Colin and Ryan became the show regulars throughout the last two or three series. I think they started having trouble getting new people and many of the previous regulars stopped doing it too. I hear plenty of Americans didn't understand the scoring because the host Clive Anderson would just make it up awarding anything from -5 to 3 million points in any round and then he'd just pick the winner at random at the end. Good stuff.

Re: Whose Line: Living Scenery Cheerleaders
If I presume you're USAnians then you might not be aware that this ran in the UK for what must've been 10 years. In the latter series Coin and Ryan became the show regulars and were on it every week usually with Mike McShane too. They absolutely saved the show as it had started to go a bit stale. I don't know if it is available on DVD but if it's not then it's surely only a matter of time until it is, so seek 'em out if you want new [to you] episodes.

Re: Driving Exam
This game is fundamentally flawed. The first thing that came up was "backing out of a parking space". Why on earth would you teach someone to do that? You're supposed to reverse INTO a parking space so you can see properly when you come out again. It can also be done in less space.

Re: Andy Kaufman: Pop Goes The Weasel
Still funnier than every SNL sketch I've ever seen posted on here.

Controversial.

Re: Never Play with Guns
This was shown on C4 News in the UK, there was more in the clip though. Later on one of his assistants was passing the guy what looked like a semi-automatic gun and all the kids were screaming out not to let him have it, so he gave up having lost all credibility.

Re: Hapland 3
I don't understand this bit - added caps comments for clarity...

Click the lever man. Now eat a carrot and go into the house by using the carrot and arrow the lever man makes appear
MAN IS INSIDE THE HOUSE NOW
----------
switch the right-most arrow so that's it's facing the house.
THE ARROW IS ABOVE THE HOUSE. WHICH WAY IS TOWARD (LEFT OR RIGHT WOULD BE EASIER)
----------
Activate both hover pads
------------
This require TIMING:
Click the UFO Click the right button on the crate, this will deactivate the land mina and will cause platform man to run into the house and create a bomb machine
MAN GOES INTO THE HOUSE, BUT HE'S ALREADY IN IT!
-----------
Ring the door Bell

Re: iPod Invisa
I read that discussion but stayed out of it at the time.
I'm in the UK and as such have no SNL generation, I can view every SNL skit which appears on here without being influenced by the cast that I grew up with.

I can categorically state that I have yet to find any SNL skit posted on this site within the past 2 years or so remotely amusing.

You might argue that I'm not qualified being a foreigner, but I would say in my defence that Seinfeld is undoubtedly my favourite comedy of all time, I've got every single episode in the archive. Curb is my current favourite comedy but I've been into Larry Sanders and Frasier too. So yeah, IMNSHO SNL IS A POS.

Re: JCB
This needs to be a headline. The song and video are great. Just discovered this a few days ago and came to post it myself but obviously beaten to the punch some time ago.

You need this song.

Re: Everything But Love
I can't help thinking that in the not too distant future you'll be seeing this guy's neighbours on the news saying things like "He was always a quiet man, we never had any trouble with him. We always found him pleasant on the street."
