Re: Top Gear: Bugatti Veyron at 253 MPH
I've done 125 and it was slightly blurry. I can't imagine doing 250, I'd be like when the Millenium Falcon hits Hyperspace and all the stars turn into streaks.

Re: Conan O'Brien vs Jim Carrey: Quantum Physics
People judge him as a one-dimensional comic. But in my opinion he's one of the best actors of our generation, humor or otherwise.
Oh, and awesome skit.

Re: The The: This is the Day
i typed in "the the" on the itunes store and it came up just fine.
but to save you some time, most of their music is terrible. A definite One-hit-wonder. they had one other song called "uncertain smile" that was semi-descent.

Re: Top Gear: Alabama
Cmon people. This isn't about Alabama, or the Us, or Britain.
It's about dumb people in general.
If you're in some parts of the UK and you drive around with a car that says, "Manchester United Sucks", you'd probably get your ass kicked
If you're in France and you write a bunch of slogans on your car about how worthless france is in wars, it'd probably cause trouble
They just picked Alabama because it's the easiest place to do a skit like this.
There's places in every country in the world where you could do something similar and get the same reaction.
I for one love Top Gear, and thought the skit was hillarious, and I don't think they meant any harm towards the reputation of Alabama or the US.

Re: Madonna: WtF Mixes
Look, Madonna, I'm sorry you weren't able to get your solid gold ferrari this year. These "activists" need to get with the fuckin program.
When Record players first came out for the public in the 1800's, tons of musicians protested the situation to congress saying, "but with records...people will no longer come to our performances, and we will lose money!"
luckily those musicians were wrong.
this whole situation is like that all over again. Musicians must adapt to the technological enviroment and capitalize on the situation, not try to reverse technological progress.

Re: O'Reilly Factor: The Stephen Colbert Phenomenon
"Bill Orally seems a little out of touch. Bernie hit the nail on the head about overanalyzing douchebags seeming like doofuses. Duh!"
yeh, i actually like O'Reilly sometimes. But you are right, he is waaayyyy out of touch with society.
remember when he did his bit on "Freak Dancing"

Re: Sacha Baron Cohen: Golden Globes Acceptance
i used to love baron cohen, but after hearing a few of his interviews and stuff he seems like a real ass. In his pbs interview he sounded really arrogant and judgmental. Honestly, i wonder what'll itll be like when the jokes on him.

Re: SNL Jake Gyllenhaal Monologue: Dream Girls

This is no different than in the 60's when tobacco companies produced commercials and documentaries saying smoking is good for you.
