Re: Residents call 911 over labradoodle 'lion'

Police in Norfolk, Virginia were called on Wednesday after residents spotted the dog with a shaggy mane and tawny coat roaming the streets, the Associated Press reports.
Officers called the local Norfolk Zoo to check their two lions were both still in their cages - and they were.
After investigating further they discovered the animal prompting the calls for help was actually local resident Daniel Painter's dog, named Charles the Monarch.
