Stephan Koral was born in Novomoskasvkk in 1965. studied architecture at the academy of Fine Arts in Kiev from 1987 to 1993, after then he studied drama (1993-1998) at the Kiev Theatre and Film Institute. “Tramway n° 9” is his debut film, awarded at many international festivals. In 2005 he directed the animated film “Zlydn” (studio Pilot Moscow).

Re: Tripe and Onions
Yes, there's a sort of cultural subtext. On several levels. This kind of bistro is a typical scene of the post-communist central Europe - the food (tripe and onions) too. And the film is a kind of metaphor of pointless human comepeting I guess. The story is a paraphrase of a Douglas Adams novel.

The director Marina Moshkova was born in 1987 in St.Petersburg, Russia. In 2004 entered the St. Petersburg State University of Cinema and TV, speciality - animation filmaking. In 2006 graduated from drawing courses of St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.

She specialises in volume animation, working in several TV series and short films: ??Hilltop Hospitalâ?, â??Lâ??odeur du chien mouill?. This is her first animated short film, obviously made in volume.
