Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
It's a studio audience, not a laugh track as such.

Australians dont kid themselves about having any kind of national cuisine. Burnt, barbequed sausages slathered in tomato sauce is what most Aussies would think of when you say 'Australian Cuisine'. The Outback Steakhouse is laughable only when people assume it is an 'Australian Experience', not just a gimmicky, fast-food chain.

These guys are poking fun at Australian 'culture' (or lack of it) and how it's perceived overseas. They're being ironic, not getting on any high-horse. =)

Still, funny concept, shame about the execution.

Re: Joe vs The Volcano - Joe Quits
Ah! The days when Meg Ryan had only *just* become typecast as the quirky/dorky/cute love interest!

Loved this film...

Re: Why Do People Laugh at Creationists? (Part 24)
Why do people laugh at Mr Stein? Well, he's got that ridiculous speech impediment for starters, and he mumbles waaaaaay too much...

Oh yeah, and all the military talk. Yeah that too. But mainly the bad diction.

Re: Master Sugoi: Origami Vagina
Perhaps it was thought too offensive to go with 'Origami C*nt', so they just went with the socially accepted and recognised polite slang for the collective, lower, female fun-bits?

PUA Game - The New Everquest?
Tricking a woman into physically giving herself to you? That's just sad.

As I see it, the whole PUA thing has nothing to do with being attractive to women, or understanding women, nor is it all about bedding women. It's a power-play, a boys club. It's not going to fill the void of lonliness, self-loathing and isolation most of these men feel.

Why don't they just fill their sense of worthlessness with booze, like everyone else? They'd make more friends, and probably still get laid regularly... =P

Lysol? The 'feminine douching product' Lysol of yesteryear? Mmm...that'll give Chuck that fresh panties smell.

Ooh! This clip includes the Fran Drescher cameo. There she is in the green dress right at the start...
Hmmm...I may have just embarassed myself there.

Re: TED
Taken from their website (www.ted.com):

"TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader."

Click the 'TED Talks' media player, and it'll take you to the 'Talks' page of the TED website. =)
