Re: Ross Kemp On Gangs: Moscow
I'm glad they point out the counter productivity of such gangs. I was hoping that this was going to cover more organized gangs than the ones featured though.

Re: BBC — Weird Nature: Devious Defenses
Great video. Seemed a bit too set up though. Guess it had to be to get them all in the same frame of reference.

Re: Gilligan's Island- Hamlet The Musical
To be honest I think if I was that bored on a deserted island I would have gone a bit over the top too.

Re: Meet the Press: The Real Stephen Colbert
I think that he stated that he has to lay out the playing field for a joke prior to stating that he thinks some viewers already have background news info.

Re: Rejecting Atheism
You make a good point in that even with the scientific evidence Atheists believe is a result of random chance, it still requires an amount of faith in the unknown factors which in itself forms a belief.

Re: Rejecting Atheism
No, because it's significance in society is nil. If there was a voice to be heard and a stink being made then there would inevitably be a label for a group who makes a point to voice their lack of belief in Zeus or Apollo.

Re: Rejecting Atheism
I agree. Additionally, it's human nature to identify a cast that demands to be heard.

Just once I'd like to have a conversation regarding Atheism that doesn't involve malicious name calling on either end.

You make a good point in your last sentence. Atheists as a group are microscopic compared to the numbers of people that belong to one religion or another on the planet.

Re: Rejecting Atheism
You can call them anything you please however they already have a title so it's moot.

Re: Meet the Press: The Real Stephen Colbert
Good clip. One thing though. Stephen mentions that he has to lay out the background details of the joke in order for the viewers to get it (2:25) and yet he says later that he doesn't because the viewers would not get the joke unless they already knew the news behind the joke. (2:34)

Re: Rejecting Atheism
If someone makes issue of what they do not believe in, then you can expect to have a label for that lack of belief.

Re: Takei: California Court Fails Prop. 8
George's argument about the Supreme Court's view on the validity of his marriage is nothing more than what happens a billion times over in the court system. A ruling is made but doesn't effect prior decisions in the matter. It's a technical matter, not a thumbs up form the Federal Government regarding human rights. To say otherwise is ignorant IMO.
