Re: Sarah Palin Sex Tape
This is more of a slam against Palin's detractors than of the woman herself.

Re: MTV Movie Awards 2007: Best Kiss, Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen
So boring and contrived it baffles me that they bothered to go through with it.

Re: West Wing: Fighting Scripture with Scripture
It's funny, but in Martin Sheen's character trying to make the lady/christians look stupid, his lack of knowledge of the bible throws it back in his face. So many people read the old testament and the Levitical law, say "Hey, YOU don't do this stuff", and walk off like they've made a point. The only point he's made is that he hasn't read the whole thing.
Anyone who studies law, science or literature knows that you don't make a case, theory or thesis on just one part of your topic. You take the whole thing in and then make your points.
I would think that anyone, regardless of his/her feelings or beliefs on the bible, would dismiss out of context rantings simply out of principal.

Re: Simpsons on Tracy Ullman: Ep 1 Good Night
Thanks for posting. Man, I remember seeing some of these in college. It's been awhile.

Re: Ysabella Brave: Let's Misbehave
When I first saw a couple of her videos on YouTube I thought she might be lipsyncing because she's so good. Good stuff.

Re: Daily Show: Jon Stewart vs John McCain
I'd go to the show because I think he and his staff are funny—not because I may or may not agree with his politics. Afterall, it's a comedy show, not a news program or political talk show. Unfortunately, too many people see it is the two latter.

Re: Daily Show: Jon Stewart vs John McCain
I've gotta say, as much as like Jon Stewart, his audience is consistently so "pro-Jon's opinion" that it makes listening to any debate annoying.
McCain: "Something Jon disagrees with."
Audience: grumble grumble hissss
Stewart: "This is my opinion loudly mixed over yours!"
Audience: "YYYEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
Lemmings?

Re: Pissed Catholic Mother
This is what happens when someone blindly believes in a belief system rather than it's core teachings.
Yelling someone into the kingdom of god; that's not what it's all about. So sad.

Just like Michael Hedges and Phil Keaggy before him.
Nonetheless, this is pretty cool.

Oh, I think it's tobacco sauce. Or juice. Mmm, nothin' like a tall glass of tobacco juice to get you goin' in the mornin'.

Re: Rubikubism
That's what I had as a kid, though I quickly learned you could turn a section slightly, use a knife, pen or whatever to pry one cube out and then the whole thing was easy to take apart and put back together with all the colors in order.

Re: SNL Digital Short: Business Meeting
I'm with you, this skit was funny (Crazy Carl cracked me up). Through the years I've probably only seen 5 or 6 per season, and I think this cast has some good things going for them.
What's also funny is how so many people who hate the current season, and I've experienced this for the last twenty years, swear that only the original cast seasons were funny. There were tons of funny things with that cast, but they had plenty of bombs, too.
That's how SNL has always been (and any comedy sketch show). If you approach it as a blend of funny stuff and stuff that's just eh, you'll enjoy it more. If you approach it to verify that it sucks as much as you anticipate, then it will probably suck for you.
Then again, why do I even give a shit enough to write all this?
