Re: Awareness Test
This is originally a real psychological experiment. The ad is so similar that the professor, I heard, is considering to sue.

Re: Ex-Gay = Ex-Wife
To quote a cartoon I once read, "I'm against gay marriage. Take the woman living next door to me, for example. She's married to a gay guy. It's nothing but heartbreak."

Re: Beer-Cycle
Before watching, I was sure it would be about this. http://www.fietscafe.nl/
In Holland, this is a bar and vehicle in one: each barstool has a set of pedals, so the drinkers jointly drive the bar around town.

Re: Who Chooses the Next US President
Hm. Questionable rhetoric.
Point 1: Clinton and Obama get top billing, seating and time because they are the most popular candidates to begin with. You might counter that that, again, is media-created, but you'd have to prove that allegation separately. You might also counter that their popularity is exactly the reason they SHOULDN'T get so much airtime etc. But there's a market principle at work here. If Clinton would be equally represented or underrepresented, no one would watch the debate.
Point 2: Lobby money. Obama has always claimed he takes no lobby money, and although it's not as clear-cut as that, he's hardly a lobbyist favorite.

Re: Flying Spaghetti Monster Church
What a wonderful world we live in when we can watch newscasters utter the phrase 'Flying Spaghetti Monster' with a serious, almost concerned look on their face.

Re: Bose Active Suspension Demo
Bose, making the streets unsafe for kids again by circumventing speedbumps. The technology is impressive, the idea behind it is not.

Re: Bush Won, Get Over It
This is a terrible, unjust war. But it is fought by a democracy, and the decision to wage it was democratic.
Both elections were close calls; both made me wonder, not what is wrong with Bush, but what is wrong with the American people. When the second term came along, the case against, and state of, the Iraq war was a no-brainer. And still they re-elected him.
It's almost taboo to say it, but what the past 8 years showed is that maybe, democracy isn't as infallible as Americans think it is.

Re: George Carlin: Who owns you?
George Carlin defeats his own argument by standing on a stage and telling it to the audience.
