Re: Kids in the Hall: Absurd Sketch
2 points of interest:
First: A woman in a Kids in the Hall sketch, perhaps forgiven, since she is referred to as "papa".
Second: The name of the first popular home vacuuming robot was coined in this sketch.

Re: Weirdest Clip of All Time
I like how they cloned the dead-and-brilliant Robert Anton Wilson into four beard-connected ping-pong players. Somehow, I think the original would have appreciated it.

Re: Driving through a Massive Dust Storm
They happen every year at Burning Man in northern Nevada. The dust there is white and baby powder fine, so one needs goggles and a filter or shelter to weather it well. They are called white outs, for obvious reasons. Visibility can drop to arms length at their most intense, but it doesn't go black. YouTube's got mountains of footage.

Re: Living with Cataplexy and Narcolepsy
Bracelet; Big words: "IF YOU FIND ME DOZING" and then a quick explanation in smaller text to allow you some safe space and time to recover. If they teach cops there to read, it might save you a couple extra bruises. Just an idear.

Re: Clinton and McCain Strike Back!
That's not really them. It looks like some sort of CG was used to make their mouths look like they were singing the words, but they gave it away by using the original soundtrack from the South Park movie. Der.

Re: Marty Feldman: Undertaker Sketch
A thoughtful critique on the most disturbing bug plaguing capitalism: in which the asocial quest for business/profit supercedes the benign virtues of sharing, cooperation, and social responsibility.

Re: Noam Chomsky on Concision in the US Media
Sounds like walking the talk to me: finding legal loopholes that allow him not to financially support a system he regards as criminal. His ideas would not be so widely heard and discussed if he didn't charge people who can afford to hear him speak, enabling him to contribute resources to work he actually supports. We don't have to be capitalists to live and work inside a capitalist system. I think his ideas are great, and I don't see a conflict between his words and behaviors.

Re: Are You a Genius? Coin Puzzle
That's an excellent solution. He doesn't explain that you can't create space between any coins you move. However, his solution only uses space he creates by moving coins out. He may have forgotten to include the rule "you must keep any coins you move together".

Re: Vagina Power: Warning Gay Boys
I am fascinated by Alexyss. She is one of a very few people talking about sexual politics outside the intellectual arena. She discusses subjects that are mostly ignored, and there is a core of truth somewhere in there somewhere, but it's mixed with so much confusion, and her rap comes off as obsessive, cult-like, and it feels like there is a message that she cannot vocalize. (And her momma just seems confused.) I have only watched a few of her shows, so maybe I miss her point, but she focusses on negative power relationships without offering replacement models. We need the replacement models, Alexyss!
