Re: Dr. Strangelove: Mein Fuhrer! I Can Walk!
I love how the other actors desperately try not to laugh out loud.

Re: The Watchmen Trailer
Interesting, that they are using a remix of the "Batman + Robin"-soundtrack for another superhero movie. But still looks pretty promising.

I know, I know, it's cheap to link to his own stuff, but I just love that movie.

Okay, be honest: How many of you thought: "Smash the glass tube!" Bad aggressive species, bad!

Re: Horizon: Dr. Money & the Boy With No Penis
I've seen another documentary about the same man in tv a couple of years ago (I think, he was still alive at the time they made it), and was shocked how this man's life was broken to pieces by the surgery. I'm not really sure who there is to blame, because his parents only wanted the best for him, and the doctor thought he is right with his theory of "gender education", but this is one damn good example that every scientist should know where borders are. I don't say that this is easy, but that's their job.
Very good documentation though.

Re: Ferguson: Julia Sweeney, Letting Go of God
I never heard of her before, but just by this video I would choose D.
... How much do I have to pay for my evil, diabolic thoughts of punching her in the face continuously just to stop her from laughing?

Re: Horizon: Britain's Most Dangerous Drug
As I understood it, they really ment the danger for the individual consumer. It is in their opinion more likely to die by consuming ketamine than to consume tobacco, and it has more drastic side-effects.
The example with the gasoline isn't that good, because drug consumers normally doesn't want to kill themselves, they want the "rewarding" effect of the drug. I am not very sure, how rewarding it is to drink gasoline. So only a few people may be willing to consume gasoline, definately less than those willing to consume the drugs in this film.
Interesting enough for me is that they really put Cannabis higher than for example LSD or Extacy. Actually this fits very well to my own "observations" with some of my musician friends. ;)

Re: Horizon Project E01: Bracing for Tomorrow
Most of the theories about ancient history presented in this clip are out of publications of the german wannabe-scientist and mystic Erich von Däniken, for example the egyptian "electric light". This guy is known here as hardly neglecting any scientific evidence that doesn't fit in hie view of the world.
I really love your postings, spam, sspecially about science, but this one is far under your normal standard. Lat me guess: They tricked you with the "horizon" thing? ;-)

One of the oldest rules in rock music: The drummers aren't allowed to hang out with the musicians.
