Re: Some GOPs Ask Palin to Leave
Bah. Doesn't even matter. Anyone remember Lil Bush's early interviews? He didn't know who the prime minister of Canada was. He named Jesus as the most influential person in history. He rattled off nonsense during his whole campaign. Palin's just like him. And all the LCDs are thinking, "She's just like us!" Why people would want someone just like them to hold a position they themselves are not qualified for has me stumped. She could crap on the podium and her supporters would cheer. It doesn't matter what she says or does.

Re: Smells Like Teen Spirit
Clearly you are confusing "protege" with "contemporary". You can't credit Nirvana and Nevermind with the success of grunge simply because they were the most visible practitioners. Half of the bands you list played a part in creating the style and equally influenced Nirvana.
If you were being facetious, I apologize. This is a subject near to my heart. You see, I invented hip hop.

Caramel... it would've been caramel.

Re: The Daily Show: Jan Terri's Music Videos
Colbert talked about being instrumental in steering the show away from making fun of ordinary folks. He basically said it just makes the Daily Show guys look like dicks... and it does. SB said he felt a lot better about it when the interviewer started taking the role of the clueless one.
Much better to make fun of politicians, celebrities and hipsters. That cause seems so much more righteous.

Re: Letterman: Bill Clinton vs Chris Rock, Complete Interviews
Title says COMPLETE interviews but weren't there some serious edits in the Clinton portion?

Re: But what about the...
Agreed... besides, image a team consisting of members Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, Phoenix and... Honey Badger. Just sounds stupid.

Re: Freestyle Rap Battle: Translated
Is someone bent out of shape? Or did someone make a comment followed by a still unanswered question? I wish all racists were dum dums but unfortunately that is not the case. I don't believe the guys who made this were racist... Seeing it simply made me feel a certain way.
Again, watch and enjoy. I'm done. And if anyone is wondering, I'll laugh at pretty much anything... I just think about it a little afterward.

Yeah, but which makes YOU laugh harder?
No one said they should be immune from parody... I made a special effort in the first comment to show I do not believe anyone is immune from parody.
I am from the Appalachian Mountains and could potentially bristle at derogatory barbs about hillbillies. This, however, has a shittiness about it that chewbot's comment exemplifies.
Leave it up, please. Enjoy please. But Dave Chappelle said it best when he sadly decided to end his show because he looked over "and saw the cameraman laughing a little too hard." Dave was left wondering "what aspect of the sketch was this guy laughing about?"
So for those of you watching and laughing at this clip LIKE I WAS/AM... if you have the time, maybe consider what it is that's making you laugh.
...And that graphic really bums me out.

Re: Freestyle Rap Battle: Translated
I wish I could just watch that and laugh... because it is hysterical and well done. However with my hypersensitivity I can't help but notice the smarmy (yet clever) narrator appears to an educated suburbanite and, alas, the unwitting participants are not. Neo-nazis love this stuff. I welcome any group of people making fun of any other group of people but realize it often comes off looking kind of shitty to some folks. And umm... what's with the graphic to the left?

Re: the pretentious douche and his hatred of zeitgeist
Didn't I see Hank in Bad Boys 2? I'm sure I did... saw him each of the four times I watched it. Awesome movie. It's up there with the Rundown.
