Dude... Bush did it because he and his friends in the Project for a New American Century have a hard on for imperialistic, pre-emptive foriegn policy. Iraq had NOTHING to do with September 11, 2001. Al Qaeda and Osama had everything to do with it. And under Bush's leadership we couldn't catch Osama.You must be completely blind not to see the ties with Bush's family and the Saudis, who incidentally produce a majority of the Islamic Extremists involved in Al Qaeda.No one is saying the troops died in vane. Actually, the troops have done their jobs magnificently, inspite of a lack of proper direction from the White House. I am so sick of this bit about criticizing the government is treasonous, calling the war invalid dishonors the military. One can support the troops (I do) and still issue dissent against the President and his lot. Heed the words of Teddy Roosevelt:Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official...

yes they will.... but then the last time they used the filibuster in a high profile way was to block civil rights legislation (Thurmond) in the 60's.
It makes me wonder why there aren't more libertarians, as they seems to have the best of both worlds in my opinion: strong subscription to the bill of rights, but divorced from big government and taxes. The major drawback here is with small government comes unregulated big business... (think enron).

cheap owner mostly... The bar was empty for many years. If it weren't for the figure skating there, they would have gone bankrupt by now... Vic Venasky (former LA King) now owns/runs the pro shop there...

I skated/played/ref'd at that rink... "Skating Edge" in Bay Harbor/Torrance, CA... I was there last one month ago... And the boards were nasty then... I hope the rink got to keep the new stuff! And damn that I missed it.
