Re: Bill Maher: Ashton Kutcher on Prop 8
Go Ashton Kutcher! You said it as it is. Anyone can get married by going to the Judge. You can have ceremonies at church, out in a back yard, whatever, but in the end it always goes through court, regardless of your religion. It is unconstitutional that religion is even in the way of marriage at all. It is a -legal- matter; not a religious one when it comes to government deciding things...or should be.

Re: Palin Declares War on Iran
She didn't declare war on Iran. She thinks we are -already at war- with Iran...which makes her sound even more lame. I hope she just returns home to Alaska after this and helps to deal the fact that Alaska has the highest rape count in all of the U.S. Also, she should stop palling around with terrorists that want to secede from the U.S. and freaky preachers that are not only corrupt and idiots but have condemned innocents to being declared as witches. She's just an evil self-absorbed witch herself.

Re: Keith Olbermann: Hockey Mom in Glass House
Keith, you rule. That rant was the best! Thank you for giving us some much needed information about a woman that came out of nowhere and has been saying we don't know 'Obama'. I think by now most of us know Obama and McCain pretty well. It's Palin that none of us get but because she talks so cheeky and winks at the old guys, she's cute enough to not have any guilty past.

Re: Sarah Palin supported extremist group
Ah hah hah, that was great. Palin needs to just learn to stop thinking her tactics work with people that actually pay attention and will do their own research...not just listening to some dumb lady say 'it's true, you betcha!'.

Re: Palling around with Secessionists
This video was amusing. Basically, it's telling Sarah Palin to stop her finger pointing because in the end -anyone- can be connected to some bad seeds out there. Her big mouth barracuda striking ways may have worked up in Alaska, but it doesn't work around people with intelligence that can also pillage through her own history and dig up whatever.

Obama was 8 years old when Ayers committed his crimes. Ayers became a member of the education system and numerous politicians, both democratic and republican, have dealt with him, as well as quite a few teachers and other 'moral' people. A person -can- change and obviously this man had or he would not be in the position he is in now. What was done was done.

If Obama is -guilty- by associating with a guy that committed a crime when he was 8 years old and yet is in a position of power that has to involve Obama... then Palin is guilty of actually having herself 'palling around' with Secessionists as well. She really needs to think before she speaks but something tells me that woman has not done that in a long time.

Re: Bill O'Reilly slanders Senator Joe Biden
O'Reilly used to be a decent reporter. However, he's become so opinionated and biased in the last couple years that he just is not a reporter anymore.

Fox should say as it's logo "We report horrendously skewed news. You decide if it's true or not." Then offer some awards for what is actually true when we figure it out. They have made so many biased blunders and I still just wince every time I think of the 'terrorist fistjab' line. I have no idea why people still watch Fox News. It's always been bad but it's clearly been worse now.

Also, people don't seem to know that part of Bush's impeachment report stated in it that Fox News had posted commentary from the White House without reporting that it did in fact not come from a journalist but from Bush and co. This is also very wrong. Sure, reporters cannot be totally neutral, but Fox is just pathetic. They should really stop with politics and just report stuff on media celebs. At least then we can trust them about as much as we do The Enquirer.

Re: Pat Condell: Stop Sharia Law in Britain
I'm glad he's willing to do something about this. I have no idea why GB is catering to these people that put them down so much. I don't think they ought to be mistreated as lower class citizens or anything, but they certainly need to stop going to other countries that are not ran by Islam and respect the local laws instead of trying to mutate the laws to fit them. Also, while Pat may call some of the practices in Saudi Arabia as mentally ill, I hardly think that is as bad as allowing people to preach to others that gays should be killed. People's priorities are really messed up.

Re: Charlotte Iserbyt: Deliberate Dumbing down of the World
At first I was hoping this would go into facts that our government and some religious groups are trying to dumb up our students. Instead, it's just someone who has a problem with freedom of religion, letting children explore things and understand poverty and be fortunate for what they have. She is part of the problem instead of a solution or voicing anything useful to the current situation of today. I took school back when Reagan was in office. This is disappointing to hear her say these things.

Re: Creationism Disproved?
In the end, those of us who know Evolution to be fact cannot change the minds of people who believe in Creationism or Intelligent Design. Their believe is entirely based on a leap of faith so they cannot possibly debate it intellectually.

Any person who really paid attention to the wondrous creation of the eye itself would see it's far from perfect. Just looking at the very fact that people are born blind, that many have eyesight problems and do not see as efficiently as others, that there are things like astigmatism or cataract issues etc would point out that intelligent design cannot be plausible. Why would someone make the eye so full of malfunctions and yet we are made in God's image? If the eye is not the only example of how we are supposedly made in God's image...God must be in a coma now held to life by some invention he made and praying no one unplugs it. The human body alone is full of imperfections.

Re: The Christian Right Vs. the USA
This really is one of my growing concerns and I'm glad to see someone step forward about it and say that this problem exists with extreme Christians. It is definitely bordering fascism and at times makes me want to leave the country. I stick it out in hopes this group of fundies will fall to the way side but the sad thing is that now televangelicals have also infiltrated Europe and are trying to force things to happen there too. They better deal with them sooner than we have or else they will have people believing the moon casts its own glow.

Re: Olbermann: Tough Questions for McCain
LOL I loved this. It's so true. That has to be the best Olbermann thing I've seen in a while. I really loved the sarcasm and thought this was mostly a joke since obviously McCain doesn't have to actually answer the stuff. These are types of questions though in seriousness that have mainly been flung at Obama, and some Hillary's way so it was amusing that these are -facts- about McCain but he's gone totally unaccountable for them. Good stuff.

Re: Teacher Fired over Intelligent Design
I can believe this considering Bill Nye, the Science Guy, was booed off the stage when he went to speak in Texas and said that the moon does not cast its own light and is in fact reflecting light from the sun. There was no mention even of evolution or creationism and this happened.

I wish people would see what they are doing to their kids by preventing them from being educated in science and instead they force feed their kids this crap of Creationism which has no proof at all but a book. It's very disconcerting in a modern age that we still take the words of people over 2000 years ago that believed the world was flat and rested on 4 pillars as reality. With all of the marvels of discoveries out there that people themselves can explore, this seriously closes minds. I hope this teacher keeps fighting because even if someone believes in Creationism they have plenty of opportunities to learn about it in church. It should not be taught in science class because it is NOT a science at all.
