Re: The World's Most Contagious Prank
Contagious yawns are greedy self-preservation. The body instigates a yawn when there is a drop in oxygen levels in the body.

When you see someone else yawn your body relays the message of a supposed decrease in atmospheric oxygen, so in response you yawn to steal as much oxygen for yourself before anyone else gets it.

Re: Vice: 3D Printed Guns
Why not just modify a Nerf gun and throw in some shotgun shells, more cost effective, probably safer, and less likely to break. On the plus side if people start printing guns, there will be a lot more idiots with a lot less fingers. Really, what's the point to buying 95% of a firearm then printing a shoddy 5%, I certainly hope he doesn't think a printed barrel would be the least bit functional.

Re: Pathetic: Black 4-Year-Old Misquoted to Sound Violent
Not hard at all, if it was live and he got cut off, MAYBE it would be incompetence and that's a big maybe. This however was edited then release with FULL intent, there are no accidents with media. If you happen across media incompetence it would be that they gave out real or useful information that was supposed to be withheld.

Re: Vsauce: Will We Ever Run Out of New Music?
Could have shortened that to:

"Will we ever run out of music that people enjoy?" ... "Yes, eventually"

"Will we ever run out of random tones strung together that make you pass out and vomit?" ... "Nope, there are like 2 to the 200 billionth of those!"

Re: Mine Kafon
It's more about cost effectiveness, if you were able to clear an area of even half the land mines, then send in a comprehensive more costly method, the savings would be quite substantial at the above quoted amounts.

Re: The Boondock Saints: Toilet Scene
Starring Billy Connolly, we have a winner! Seriously great flick, a la Snatch, Lock Stock, etc.

Re: Mister Rogers on Tonight Show, 1983
I watched his show growing up, and now I watch it with my kids... sometimes when they're not around too.

Re: Richard Dawkins: Why Coincidences Are Meaningless
Being a man of science I pretty much agree with anything I see of Dawkins, however this whole video all I that was repeating in my head was 'A psychic would predict or see, not will the coin into a state' a very poor concept to illustrate the phenomenon of 'chance'.

Re: Perfect Shuffle
Seriously, can we rename this to "Perfect Shuffle: What Happens When You Do Eight of Them and Hand Out Sweets to Mathematicians By Division, Also You Will Not Learn Any Method to Shuffle Perfectly!"

Re: Penn & Teller, Fool Us: Michael Vincent
Penn and Teller already know all of the "tricks" so it's presumably impossible to trick them by definition. However, you may be able to fool them by employing an impractical modification or substitution of fundamentals to "fool" them.

Re: Derren Brown: The Assassin
I've seen tons of Derren Brown vids, at the beginning of each he claims that there are no plants, fakes, stooges etc. and that all of it is legit (take that for what it's worth) but he does show how he does a fair number of his "tricks". He is well trained in hypnosis, NLP, and cold reading, which he uses to manipulate people to do/think what he wants, quite effectively I might add.

Re: Meme Proposal
That's more likely the fat pad you're noticing, more apparent on someone with a little extra weight and a posteriorly rotated pelvis.

Re: Japanese Prank Show
Gaki No Tsukai. It's an annual New Years tradition for Downtown and Cocorico (2 japanese comedic teams) it is by far the funniest thing in the world. There are 11 NYE specials so far and can be found with subtitles.

The episodes take place over 24h periods, usually, and the final video cuts usually run 2-4 hours.

They have lots of recurring characters (like the old lady) so watching from the first episode on gets you in on all the 'inside jokes'.

24 hour tag (2000)

Haunted hotel

Pie hell

Hot spring

Yugawara

High school

Police station

Hospital

Newspaper agency

Hotel men

Spy school (2011)
