Re: Lord Of War: AK-47
I know people suppress their rifles if they have a rat problem in their apartment. The rats come out early in the morning and they don't want to wake their neighbors.

Re: A Network Called "Internet"
Hmm, that was cool. Too bad it never went anywhere.

Re: A Fox, a Wolf, and a Whole Lot of Bull 1 of 2
I'm very left (and small government) and I used to be somewhat into Ron Paul as well. At one point I was sent a link to a Daily Kos article about him and he's not as wonderful as he's made out to be. I know Daily Kos is a liberal site but the article has sources for every accusation and good sources too, like government sites. Anyway I just have a problem with an Anti-gay marriage, anti-abortion "Libertarian", doesn't seem... Libertarian. Oh and for the record I refuse to vote for Hillary. Check out Mike Gravel though, he's got a good mix of small government and big government ideas.

Re: Penn and Teller: Gun Control
The problem with anti-gun legislation is that it only effects law abiding citizens as mentioned earlier. Gun control has absolutely no effect on the criminal element in America (there was not rise in crime when the assault weapons ban of 1994 ran out.) In fact I have yet to find a crime ever committed with a registered class 3 weapon (a fully automatic firearms or explosive devise. ) The reason being it's insanely easy to find the owner of said arm because of it's registration. All gun control does is limit a citizens right to self defense and help politicians get elected.

Suppressor is a more accurate term than silencer in my opinion. There are very few weapons that actually create no noise when fired, for the most part suppressors are just used to deafen the still loud noise of a rifle or to cover the muzzle flash. Most civilian legal suppressors take down the sound by about 30% which is far lower than those used by the Government.
Good post, sheisskopf. It's always nice to know I'm not the only person who is both pro-gun and fairly left of center. The way I see it is that gun control laws (for the most part) assume that everyone is a criminal and treats them thusly. Which I think is completely unfair.
