Re: Teaposy - Blooming Teas
They're alright. I bought a bunch when I was in China, and unleashed them last Thanksgiving. For comparison's sake, they're better than the grocery store tea bags, but not as good as some of the loose leaf teas.
The first batch is always -way- too strong, because you have to let it steep for about 10 minutes until the thing is done blossoming.

Re: Fight Science
As someone who has trained in multiple arts, and works in a technical field, it's pretty good, in my opinion.
I would have liked to see the impacting force normalized for each person's body size. Though I suspect Petramale's cross and Menor's knee would still top the list, it's no surprise that Huynh's punches and kicks were the weakest, as he's obviously the smallest of the group.
When they covered the nerve strikes of Ninjitsu, it would have been good to cover the effect of other vital strikes as taught in say, Krav Maga, as well as the protective effects of body size.
I wish they didn't cream over the katana. It's a good sword, but there's nothing magical about it. The Japanese were not the only ones who used layering and differential tempering, and they definitely weren't the only ones who figured out how to balance/weight a sword to make it lively.
I'm really glad they debunked the nunchuck and the 3-section staff. I couldn't count how many times I had that damn 3-section bounce back at my face. I also liked the Jackass-ish section, where they had the crazy looking brothers breaking stuff. Funny.

Re: Richard Dawkins: Nice Guys Finish First
Mutual inevitable peace. I can dream about something so wonderful, but ultimately, I'm a pessimist. We haven't eliminated war in who-knows how many millenia. We're even further, if you consider peace to be more than simply an absence of fighting (I for one, do not consider subjugation to be peace).
I can appreciate what good has come of this phenomenon, but ultimately, I think it is our ability to populate that has guaranteed our species' survival, rather than our ability to work together.

Re: Japanese Treadmill Challenge
Are they required to wear a button down shirt and slacks, as opposed to, say: track shorts, running shoes, and a T-shirt?
Reminds me of a guy I saw on Sasuke Obstacle course that was wearing a full suit. Yeah, he failed.

Re: 2006 Yo-Yo Champion: Shinji Saito
Name me one person who's gotten rich by doing yo-yo tricks!
Donald Trump? ... No.
Arnold Palmer? ... No.
Bill Cosby! ... No.
D'oh!
Awesome. But seriously, I hope he's getting paid.

Re: AKIRA
Okay, so I finally got enough time to watch it all the way through... I've put the letters: W, T, and F together before, but I don't think I was ever so genuinely confused as now.
*SPOILER ALERT*
WTF happened when he turned into the huge squishy flesh ball?!? He turned into an amoeba?!? WTF did Akira have to do with anything?!? WTF did those zombie people end up doing?!? WTF happened for them to get out safely?!? WTF happened to the city if it blew up?!? WTF, WTF, WTF?!?
Everything kind of made sense until the last 25 minutes, then it's like a choose your own adventure story that picked all the endings.

It's only a chat show...
It's only a chat show...

It's not working, do you have something else I could try?

"Go outside of the US media, because it's owned by four corporations. One of them is this one."
Rosie then disappeared into a cloud of irony.
"While he was enjoying himself, there were things going on in this world, namely three times he could have had Osama Bin Laden within his scope."
Elisabeth likewise attributed Clinton's achievements to his creative use of cigars.
Cripes. Rosie and Elisabeth are both idiots. Am I the only one who's sick of hearing this kind of crap from both sides? Yeesh.

Re: Top Gear: Alabama
We'll move to England. Worst they got there is, you know, drive-by... arguments...
I say, Jeremy, isn't that Reginald B. Stifworth, the young upstart chap who's been touting the merits of a united European commonwealth?
Why yes, I daresay it is.
Oh! Let's get him!...
Oh Reginald... I disagree!

Which is a shame, because I do believe in meditation being beneficial, when it's not in a buy-this-package format from jerk-offs like these. Remember, personal development is a lifelong quest, not something you just buy, and there exist places you can go for assistance without being asked for a cover charge.
The doctor bothered me too. Holy crap, you mean brain waves change when you close your eyes and think about something different? That's too much like those things Scientologists have with the two probes.
I will rescind every harsh word when they offer their services at no charge, making money to expand by donations from those who have bettered their lives. Until then, they are just taking advantage of vulnerable people who are searching for something, and exploiting old belief systems for credence.
