Re: Loud Motorcycle
Yeah, okay. Still, it shouldn't be "loud motorcycles suck". It should be "revving your engine is idiotic". Totally agree with that.

Snopes is your friend
They've debunked it and quote a news article:
"Ecko acknowledged that his company had rented a 747 cargo jet at San Bernardino's airport and covertly painted one side to look like Air Force One. Employees signed secrecy agreements and worked inside a giant hangar until the night the video was made. Ecko declined to say how much the stunt cost."
So... yeah. Whoop de doo.
Y'know what would be really impressive? Tagging a police car with the cops still in it.

Re: Loud Motorcycle
Sorry, but motorcycles need to be loud. I don't drive one, but I drive a car and I'd *hate* it if I couldn't hear motorcycles approaching. They're very very easy to overlook and have a tendency to disappear in the blind angle. So... silent motorcycle = suicide.

Re: Whose Line featuring Stephen Colbert
Heh. Colbert has some mangled real German in there... what he's actually saying/trying to say, among other things: "Today Germany, tomorrow the whole world", and "That's bad" as the very last line. Weird.

Re: 78th Academy Awards: Jon Stewart's Monologue
No, it didn't. What did people expect? It's the Oscars. Not the Daily Show. Did they want him to set up a news desk, cracking jokes about Iraq? Yeah, that would've fit the occasion perfectly...

Re: Springfield, UK?
"There is a misconception that they made up the town" -- Oh really? So they didn't make up Springfield?
And here I was thinking they'd just picked the most
generic name possible for their made-up town...

Re: Brokeback Mountain in 30 Seconds
It's not about gay lifestyle, and it's a very touching movie, actually. What is it with all the "not that there's anything wrong with that some of my best friends are gay BUT I'M NOT GAY" comments that this provokes, from people that haven't even seen it? Insecure much?

Re: Look Around You: Iron
If you want to see all the episodes, how about getting the DVD? There are two seasons of this, all of the episodes would be a bit much....

Re: Dinner for One
The sketch was filmed twice. First the version for German TV mentioned above, 18 minutes in length, and later a version for Swiss TV, 11 minutes in length, with a lot of details cut and a slightly less complex set, as well as a different director -- same actors though. The Swiss Version is the one shown in Norway, Sweden and, obviously Switzerland.

Re: 40 Mistakes Men Make While Having Sex
41) MAKING SWEEPING GENERALIZATIONS. Just because the two women you had sex with didn't like something you did doesn't mean all of the other 3 billion don't.

Re: YAAFM 11: Scientology
Other religions also don't make it their policy to force you to pay such enormous amounts of money for their "wisdom", or bully their members to such an extent, or kill people... the list goes on. Unless of course you think that people like, say, Phelps are the norm...

Re: Declaration of Revocation by John Cleese
Funny, except it's not by John Cleese. Long article about it at snopes.com.

Since the link points to a collection of movies at the dailly llama, check out the "cheese emporium" animation. Very cool too.

Re: Lapland
If you wanted to see something new, this ain't it either. It's just a new version of "Kenya". Substitute "Tiger" and "Lion" for "Snowflake" and "Santa" and you get the idea...
