Re: Christopher Walken Reads Goodnight Moon
Lame...but sad. I don't think I've ever come across spam that has made me feel pity before.

Re: The Daily Show: The 11/3 Project
The worst is trying to watch Colbert with a christian conservative. I tried to explain that he was making fun of them to one. They responded, "No, he's serious. I can tell because he says the same things I do!"

Durrrr.....

This is just...just too much insanity for my brain to handle.

Re: Colbert, Nailed 'Em: Mormon Trespassing
America is dead to the Mormons. We need to nuke Utah from orbit while we still have a chance...it's the only way to be sure.

Re: Religion Kills Free Speech
It's only agressive if it has anything to do with atheism, rationality, logic, freedom of speech, or science.

Otherwise it's just religious folk expressing their fair point of view! No double standard to see here folks, just keep moving.

Re: Buttocks or bullets
That's the same reason that this video was made. It's not so much that the guy brought a gun to the protest or whatever. It's about the DUR DUR hypocracy we're getting from the right.

Back in the Bush years if you didn't agree with the President it was "Love it or leave it!" but now it's "dissent is good for democracy!" and they pat themselves on the back for coming up with the idea.

GRRRRRRRRRR it's frustrating.

Re: Barney Frank to Hitler Woman: What Planet Are You from?
Also, where did North Korea get their country's name ? ? ? Aren't they the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea"? ? ?

Just because something has a good sounding name doesn't really mean much. Your Nazi analogy = epic fail.

The budget does need to be balanced as well. Though I think we can do it with new health care stuff if we can kinda cut down on all those wars we've got goin' on still.

Nazism was opposed to communism. Half the time you right-wing cry babies say we're communist. Go back to the drawing board, pick an argument, and get back to me.

Re: Barney Frank to Hitler Woman: What Planet Are You from?
I want to make comparisons to 2003 before the Iraq war started and we liberals were trying to convience our congresspeople that they should go through with it. You know, like the conservatives are trying now.

Only difference is, you know, the liberals were right. Fancy that.

Re: Barney Frank to Hitler Woman: What Planet Are You from?
See, the whole basis of your argument is that somehow government does not have our interests in mind at all and that some how corporations do (which you later contradict towards the end of your post).

Is government perfect, hell no. Does it always work smoothly, really hell no.

Do I trust our government more than insurance companies and the current system. Big yes on that one.

The only "choice" we have is to either go with a faceless, PROFIT driven (not caring-about-your-health driven) corporation or nothing at all. Oh, so many options! How does a man decide?

These companies are driven by the same people who drove the housing market into the ground, nearly destroyed our banking system, and started this whole crisis in the first place. And they STILL make millions a year.

Yea, I'll take our democratically ran government any day of the week.

Re: Road to Moloch
I certainly appreciate what they were trying to do here.

It might have be the low budjet, or it might have been the small amount of time they had to pack the "story" into, but somewhere along the line something didn't come together here.

But I would agree with the statement that this is better than most "Syfy" movies. God...really...syfy? That's what they're gonna call it now?

Re: Penn & Teller Bullshit: Violent Video Game
Yea, I agree. A lot of times I agree with what they're trying to say and like when they point out how other people don't use their critical thinking skills.

But then they kinda do the same. For example, I don't think many people make the argument that playing an FPS makes you proficent at using fire arms (though there are probably many CoD fans that think it does) but rather they make you think more violently. While the kid at the end proved that an FPS doesn't make you shoot well that isn't really the argument they should have focused on.
