Re: Sir David Attenborough on God
Oooh I love this argument.
My life cannot be made better by believing in a super-natural being for a fairly simple reason : I was not concious before I was born so how arrogant must I be to believe that I will be once this earthly life has dismissed me?
I'm a lot happier with the thought of being turned into worm-food and continuing the chain of life that ultimately puts food on our childrens to tables.
It might not be the most appetising of thoughts for those religiously endowed but let's face it... It gives me the drive to educate my children in the realities of current existence, altruism and kidness where possible, truth and honesty etc..
We're all star-dust anyway - you didn't think that your molecular make-up wouldn't be recycled did you?
Your legacy to the world is your offspring - make them the best you can and sleep well when your lights dim ;)

Re: Louis Theroux and the Nazis - BBC - 2003
Thank you for posting this!
I'm ashamed to say - as a UK citizen - that these prejudices exist within our own societies here.
I'm also happy to say that as the cultural melting-pot of Europe (or so it seems), that the majority of people here are welcoming of our over-seas brothers and sisters. Most see it as a strengthening attribute of our nation and eventually of the world!?
One can hope and dream.. harmony one day?

I was going to post a comment but it's classified.

Re: Letterman: Mel Blanc, 1981
Letterman seems a little awkward but Mel Blanc is brilliant.
