Re: Whose Line is it Anyway: Party Quirks
I love how he commits to it. No head injury's gonna' stop him from pretending he's Carol Channing!

Re: Monty Python vs Tasered Student
You know, I think this is what's wrong with society today - no one can find a reason to laugh at things anymore. Whether this was in poor taste or not, it's funny!

Re: Pissed Catholic Mother
Funny, all this time I thought Catholicism was just really hardcore Christianity...
(I mean, not as hardcore as Calvinism, but still...)
...built on believing in Jesus Christ, and that some humans just don't get it.
By the way - should we really be talking about how the Spaniards were yelled at to convert to Catholicism? Should we /really/?

Re: Carl Sagan: Four Billion Years of Evolution
No, wait, seriously? "Only Theory"?
This isn't like "Well, my theory is that..." this is scientific theory, "in science a theory does not mean an unsubstantiated guess or hunch, as it can in everyday speech. A theory is a logically self-consistent model or framework for describing the behavior of a related set of natural or social phenomena. It originates from or is supported by experimental evidence (see scientific method). In this sense, a theory is a systematic and formalized expression of all previous observations which is predictive, logical and testable. In principle, scientific theories are always tentative, and subject to corrections or inclusion in a yet wider theory. Commonly, a large number of more specific hypotheses may be logically bound together by just one or two theories. As a general rule for use of the term, theories tend to deal with much broader sets of universals than do hypotheses, which ordinarily deal with much more specific sets of phenomena or specific applications of a theory." (taken from wikipedia)
So, scientific theory is something that has, over many observations and experiments, has proven an hypothesis or several, true, according to what is known about the subject today. By naming it a "theory" it means that, as of now, scientists have not been able to disprove it.

Re: Women's Dictionary
We punish you for things you've done wrong because that's what you do to someone who's done something wrong. Maybe if we punish you enough you'll learn not to do wrong whatever it is you're doing wrong.
.... Also, why should we have to always tell you what it is you've done that's wrong? When did you become 5 and we become your mothers?
(PS guys, it might be easier to start a relationship with a simple blanket apology because you're probably about to do or say or think something wrong any minute, and the only way to stop that is to... like... die... but, of course, we'll get mad at you for that too.)

That's because Akira Toriyama did characater design for both Dragon Warrior and Dragonball... and Chrono Trigger if anyone wants to keep score.
...On another note, it's amazing how many of these theme songs seeped into my subconscious and I can still sing...
