Re: Super Size Me
Does anyone feel like following me here with some serious arguments pertaining to a horrible troll of a thought ?
What can we expect in the way of overall, statistical effects of Americans being so (overweight -- scratch the polical correctness) FAT ?
Is the rest of the world to rejoice that the increasingly averagedly stupid and belligerent american people are going to die out earlier ? Or should it instead be feared that gradual realization of a shortened lifespan will lead to even more extreme "don't care about the consequences, I'm gunna die anyway" sort of behaviour ?
Just a thought. And not one meant to be nasty, either : I know a great number of Americans more than agree with my premices here, however "unpatriotic" the (censored) others would like them to think they are.

Re: Trickshot: Artistic Pool Trick Shots Pt 1
Erm, Ppooler ? If you ever happen to read this (M&C is extremely popular worldwide after all)...
Just ignore those guys except the ones who liked it >.
Man, those shots would rock even if they were fake.

Re: Gwigle
Yeah I'm stuck on that one too, and have used up all my googling tricks to try to guess it... "tax :pdf" gets 121M results, and what we're to find here gets 47M... I'm just not finding a common enough expression beginning with "tax"...

Re: Stephen Colbert Roasts Bush: Part 1 of 3
I agree that a small boost in the approval ratings might result from the Dinner in its entirety.
However, please take the following into account : George Double Bush was a play on the President's personal mental and intellectual deficiencies. It spent inordinate amounts of time on already half-comical subjects. It had nothing more important to jest upon than Cheney's shooting skills.
Colbert, you see, adressed *real* issues. He was courageous. He was fantastic. Bush and his impersonator were as disgustingly close-mouthed and hypocritical as usual.
I agree with you. Perhaps Bush /did/ want Colbert to be on. It would be right on par for his astounding imbecility.

Re: The Food Loop as a Murder Weapon?
doubt that they would be allowed to use domestic violence to advertice products
That's the whole point. This is an Internet viral : it's not subject to any restrictions. On the contrary, the more shocking it is, the better, as it will be remembered longer.

Re: why is it
Ah, now that sounds a lot more convincing.
I suppose I should rejoice that I don't have to think about that sort of thing every day. But I don't trust the US military industrial complex (or any other, I guess) any further than I could throw Dubya, so I see your point.
Here's hoping it'll stay a pack mule, and/or a research project allowing for R&D leading to better things :(

Re: BigDog: Robot Army Dog
What are you guys all on about ?
Y'all pussying out because it looks a bit creepy ? Think of how absolutely brilliant it is from an engineering point of view !
Can you begin to conceive of the complexity of the algorithms, the extent of the AI, the feats of cybernetics and robotics that are involved ??

A feeble-brained attempt at a perfect lack of counter-argument, perhaps ?
