Whenever I hear free form noise I always think:
1. Sun-Ra
2. Sonic Youth
Already covered. When you make "noise" on a piano or guitar 95% is going to sound the same as what they did because they really explored noise - I'm sure you can make it sound original but it would take a lot of work. Making an original statement in abstract painting would be similarly difficult.
