What an absolute idiot. The problem here is language, this simple-minded fool has taken Darwin's "related" (from a passage that is quite beautiful and in a non-deistic way, "spiritual") and equated it with familial relations such as "father" or "cousin." What a total dipshit, that is the furthest thing from what Darwin meant.

The recent post of Fred Rogers in front of the US Sentate reminded me of this truly moving talk from the man who taught so many of us the simple virtues of life. Fred Rogers is no longer with us, and perhaps we have outgrown his television programs, but if we remember his message we can find meaning in our lives by loving and respecting the people around us and taking delight in the simple pleasures of life, as this man once taught us.

It's hard? Really? I don't think so at all, in this clip Fred Rogers literally takes cool, calm aim at his goal and pulls of a "real" toughness. Do you think anyone else in the world could read those song lyrics in the US senate without the slightest discomfort. When he's asked "would it make you happy if you could read it," he squashes the attempt at belittlement like the badass that he is. Just some badasses care about the world they live in and the people who inhabit it.

Your first link is pretty much indecipherable to a normal person. Hmmm. Shows CO2 rising at a pretty frightening level, and then there are two measurements of temperature that we are presumably supposed to notice do not rise along with the CO2 measurement. Okay, point taken, but doesn't this information directly contradict your assertion that 2007 was "the coldest year in 100 years"?? Because whatever those blue and purple lines mean, it looks like it is one of the warmest according to the graph.
Not sure where you are getting your conflicting numbers.
Also, your link to the people who signed, not the actual letter, entitled by the National Post as "an Open Letter to the UN..." Well. Ummm. If you bothered to read that it doesn't deny global warming, but rather says attempts to stop it are futile. Pretty fucking scary.
