Re: Corvettes From North Carolina Collector
"Regrettably, the heart of the collection, 23 Corvettes from 1954 through 1969, was sold off during a Mecum Auction at Bloomington Gold in June of 2011."
Ouch! Sounds like someone liked being able to buy groceries more than his cars.

Re: Life After Death - Brain Damage
I'm not at all pro-religion but this piece is so "cherry picked" from the debate. No rebuttal or returned dialog. These clips are one-sided and pointless.

Re: History Panama Canal Construction 1934
...oh yeah, and approximately 25,000 people died in it's construction.

Re: Sam Harris Debates with Rabbi David Wolpe
An actual two-sided debate. Both speak so well.

Re: Ted Talks: Sam Harris: Science Can Answer Moral Questions
World wide morality is as insane an idea as any one world wide religion. It's the same concept of a group of individuals pressing their views on to the rest of the world. He says everyone should chose what they believe but he tends to not believe people are choosing correctly. Basically he is saying my morals are correct and yours aren't.
Scanning people's brains to see if they really love their daughters?? Really? I've heard talks with him where he sounds fine and others where he sounds nutty as hell.

Re: Yemen: Kids on Death Row
I'm going to try and tread on this lightly because I don't agree with their laws however they are a different country with different laws than ours. It's sort of a form of trolling for a news company to peek into a different culture and point the finger saying, "Look how awful they are." I suppose there is a chance that it could cause world awareness and perhaps force them to conform to what the rest of us believe to be right.
Both kids they interviewed said, "No I didn't do it." and we want to believe them and assume it was a fixed trial. We certainly don't know anything beyond how the reporters portrayed it. They could be cold blooded murderers. These reports easily skew the facts as I'm sure do the officials within that government.

Re: MadAtoms: My Mom Smokes Weed
That had all the ingredients to be funny but just wasn't.

Re: Your Daily Gun
I certainly have no issues with background checks and I realize this is satire but I don't think any pro gun people are claiming more guns solve any of the issues. They just want to be able to continue with their hobby.
If however you are talking from the perspective of fanatics that stockpile guns then there is a high chance they would have failed the background checks.

Re: The Mars Underground
I think Zubrin is a little crazy. It seems like a movie where the crazy mission ends tragically and closes on Zubrin saying a crazy line about how it was all necessary.
