Soundgarden

An American rock band that formed in 1984 by Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, and Hiro Yamamoto. Soundgarden was one of the key bands in the creation of grunge, a musical style that developed in Seattle based around their record label Sub Pop.

Soundgarden: Black Hole Sun The music video for Black Hole Sun, the seventh track on Superunknown, Soundgarden's fourth studio album. Black Hole Sun was the second single released from the album (preceded by Spoonman.) The music video was directed by Howard Greenhalgh, produced by Megan Hollister, and shot by Ivan Bartos. After September eleventh, 2001, Clear Channel Communications created a list of potentially inappropriate for the United States post-terrorist-attacks. This list included any songs with words such as "plane" or "falling" in the title as well as any others that an individuual found to require contemplation before playing.
