This movie, which marks LiLo's return to comedy, has been plagued from the beginning. One, it was originally made for theaters and is now airing on ABC Family. Two, it's airing on ABC Family. Oof. A lot has changed--on set and off--since the young, promising Lohan won us over in movies like "The Parent Trap", Freaky Friday", and "Mean Girls"--all of which were box office hits. A DUI and a few trips to rehab later, Lohan is playing the role of her life. Literally. She's a screw up that no one wants to work with. While on the verge of getting fired, Lohan's character Thea, lies to her boss (Chris Parnell--30 Rock", "Anchorman") about being preggers. Parnell and Cheryl Hines, (Curb Your Enthusiasm") who plays Thea's best friend, can't even salvage this one. The entire movie seems out of place for ABC Family programing which is generally geared toward teen dramas ("10 Things I Hate About You", "The Secret Life of an American Teenager"), not pregnant twenty-somethings. The worst part is, LiLo can't play even herself well, making her decision to opt out of "The Hangover" that much more funny. Suggested Alternative: anything. Sunday Night TV: "Big Brother" (CBS, 8) "Merlin" (NBC, 8) "The ESPY Awards" (ESPN, 9) "The Next Food Network Star" (Food Network, 9) "Drop Dead Diva" (Lifetime, 9) "Bridezillas" (WE, 9) "Law and Order: CI" (USA, 9) "Kendra" (E!, 10) Jul 17, 2009 3:04 PM
