An American actor. The son of director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner, bother of Maggie Gyllenhaal. He began acting at 11 years old. He has appeared in October Sky, Donnie Darko, The Day After Tomorrow, Jarhead and Brokeback Mountain.
