They showcased the studio's stars both in newsreel-type footage (glimpses of Hollywood figures at premieres, parties, the races, etc.) and in new material such as sketches or musical numbers. The print quality of these isn't the greatest, but nevertheless there's some interesting stuff here. Also note that there's a numbering system associated with these shorts, but because some of the information I've found is conflicting and confusing, I just made up my own numbers to differentiate between them. In this installment, we learn that Frankie Darro has achieved his life's greatest ambition -- to become a messenger boy for a day. His first job is to take a borrowed elephant named Annie back to the zoo. He then visits a steamship and delivers flowers to Virginia Cherrill from Cary Grant. While onboard Frankie and Cary also spot other famous figures, including Mary Boland and Claudette Colbert. Next he comes across Anita Stewart, who's having car trouble, and he offers to help her fix it. To cap things off, Frankie attends one of those Hollywood costume parties, where he dishonestly obtains autographs from all the movie stars for a younger boy who collects them. The stars include Gene Raymond, Richard Dix, Fay Wray, George Raft, Jean Harlow, Constance Cummings, Jeanette MacDonald, Charlie Chaplin and Paulette Goddard, Miriam Hopkins, and George Bancroft.
