On May 14th 1998, Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer were sentenced to one year in prison for violating the Massachusetts Good Samaritan Law.

Then, due to a series of sarcastic quips Jerry made to prison guards, and a series finale regarded by most TV critics as "Satisfactory At Best", Jerry Seinfeld was transferred to a maximum security prison.

That facility is known as...

OZ.

If I remember right, they wanted to leave with it on top - not becoming stale like some others shows - "Frasier" for one

Re: Jerry Seinfield in Oz
I actually agree that it was already a parody of itself in its final couple of seasons. That said, this was a brilliant clip.

Re: Jerry Seinfield in Oz
parody of itself is so true, but hey, a self-parody of Seinfeld is still 1 million times better than 99% of the crap passing for television entertainment these days.

By the way, did anybody know that every single epixode of Seinfeld had Superman somewhere in it?

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I had no idea! Now I'm going to have to start paying attention to old reruns when I watch them! Right on! Thanks for the tip...I LOVE easter eggs (and pie).

Re: Jerry Seinfield in Oz
Just to clarify, the network had no intentions of offing the show. Actually, Jerry Seinfeld was offered a huge sum of money to continue the show (the largest ever at the time), but he turned it down because he didn't want to continue on the show.
