He was the best interviewer there ever was. He listened better than Larry King. He was a great performer and straight man when necessary. Nothing against Jack Parr, Steve Allen, Jay Leno or other hosts of said NBC show, but there is a damned good reason why Johnny held the post for 30+ years.

The Tonight Show was an event not to be missed with Carson, Jay Leno is just take it or leave it.
