Airbus almost crashes during Emma storm
Lufthansa Airbus in an attempted landing in Hamburg, Germany during the Emma storm, on 03/08/09. The storm killed 14 people, 6 of them in Germany. Wind bursts were recorded at 140mph. The left wing actually touched the ground before the pilot decided to take off again and was able to land a few minutes later.

Makes me glad I walk to work. That had to be a suck-up-some-seat experience.
