Dear Diary,
Today I blasted hordes of SS to pieces. However, at noon my supply of ammo began to run out, so I whipped out my sandwiches and buttered milk and went to sit underneath the big old chestnut tree. My back pressed hard against its trusty bark, I now and again scanned the empty streets for any sign of undead life. Only a band of rats crossed from pavement to pavement, to disappear into the gutter strewn with rotting bodies and unidentifiable filth.
The buttered milk tasted sour, and the bread was hard. The meat, on the other hand, was fresh and juicy as it dribbled down my chin.
(Who wouldn't want to read that diary?)
