Christopher Hitchens on Real Time with Bill Maher. RT 22:47 (roughly half the episode) and first aired August 25, 2006. The atheist, Senator Max Cleland and author Vali Nasr are guests. Although humorous segments are included, the politics of fighting terror in the US are highlighted. Not surprising, Vanity Fair contributor Hitchens is supportive of the Bush Administration and both Cleland and Maher are demonstrably in disagreement.

Christopher Hitchens... the man is a cock. The most articulate knuckle dragger I've ever heard speak. But he does love the sound of his own voice so it's fair enough.

But he does have that one redeeming feature about him and that just might bring the religious right to the realization that they've been praying to false idols (hint: name me one that is prayed to which isn't).

Re: Christopher Hitchens on Real Time
yer right -- he's a total dick. He's argumentative, arrogant... brash, brutish... combative and generally a cunt. But, the man makes such damn good tv.
He challenges shit. I don't know dick about the middle east situation or the real dangers that America faces (nor do I care, frankly) but my best guess is that America aught to finish doing right by the Iraqi people; least they can do (and properly). So, it was interesting to hear Hitchens views on non-faith issues like the War on Terror and (of course) Bush. Not sure if i agree with it... but the guy does make some good points.
I appreciate that Hitchens insists on being so bloody theatrical and antagonistic. Watching his debates are so much more interesting than the typical stuffy intellectual sorts I've seen. Hitchen's debates are a predatory bloodsport. Grrr
Was cool to see Maher challenged, eh?

I've seen this video twice, now. It's very interesting. Too bad it ends so suddenly.

Perfection? Never happens. Which is why porn is such a turnoff to me.
But Mr Segue here is going off on another tangent. Forgive me.

Re: Christopher Hitchens on Real Time
Hitchens brings up Henry Kissinger as a voice of reason ignoring that Kissinger is one of the most hawkish neocons in the group. He's like, basically Cheney's mentor.
What an ass.
What an ass.
