Queen: You're My Best Friend
A song penned by John Deacon and performed by Queen. It was originally included on the A Night at the Opera album in 1975, and later released as a single. This song also appeared on the Greatest Hits (1981) album.

Deacon wrote the song for his wife, Veronica. In this song, he plays a Wurlitzer electric piano in addition to bass guitar. The characteristic 'bark' of the Wurlitzer's bass notes plays a prominent role in the song. During live performances of the song, piano section would be played on a grand piano by Freddie Mercury, while Deacon played the bass guitar.

Wow...

That song brings back memories. I used to sing it to my first wife.

Slick ass song writing & Freddie's voice make this cut unflapable.

Re: Queen: You're My Best Friend
Ya know, the band Queen is actually one of the best unused arguments for the existence of a God. I mean, Freddy Mercury's talent couldn't even be bested by the J man Himself.

...

One day, in Heaven... Jesus started bragging to Freddy Mercury...

Jesus: ...I healed some lepers; turned water into wine; died for the sins of man; awoke three days later and ascended to heaven.... and a few (sniff) other things.

Freddy: I'm Freddy Mercury
