He starts by performing the blues tune I've Got News For You by Roy Alfred, which he first recorded on his 1961 album, GENIUS + SOUL = JAZZ. The trio playing behind Ray from his touring band at the time: Kenny Carr on guitar, Darren Solomon electric bass, Jeff Ballard on drums.
