Looking at the voting, I'd say you need to reconsider.

IE is sometimes pretty stupid but just observing the reactions of the folks at GCS, I'd say a very worthwhile addition to our collection here.

Participants were given directions, i.e. a script, and they did not respond to the surroundings or situation or each other. That is not improv. Performance art, perhaps, but not improv.

If you call that improv, you probably think Dane Cook is a comedian.

Improv Everywhere being the name of the comedy troupe, as opposed to the ideal-- And in many of their acts, the script is as bare-bones as "Go into that Best Buy dressed as an employee and do anything but actually pretend to be an employee." So disparaging them on that point is rather sad, honestly.
