A turn-based game, either single or multiplayer, where your candidate and staff get to obtain states and regions by moving and attacking your opponents.

Quite nice. My Obama really kicked that Giuliani. An excellent tactic is to choose three of those hatchet guys, secure two or three regions, and then go for the opponent using that swinging axe to great effect, hitting his/her regions as well.

Took me playing three times before I finally beat the AI on the Easy mode. I used a similar tactic. And although the hatchet guys do some serious damage, I enjoyed using the spinmeister (flings mud from far away, keeping himself at a safe distance) and the Operative (stealth mode and probably not coincidentally looking a lot like Karl Rove).
