Now he lives in a mansion and sells magic jewelry and, for a certain fee, tells prospectors where to drill for oil -- or where not to drill, which is for him at least an equally lucrative business, because no one ever finds out then whether he was right or not ...

Anyway, he insists he's a psychic with connections in high places (extraterrestrial, that is), and has sued several people for millions of dollars for saying otherwise. His powers were not strong enough, however, to tell him beforehand he would lose all the lawsuits.
