Not Working?
Using the 1992 presidential election as his springboard, documentary filmmaker Brian Springer captures the behind-the-scenes maneuverings of politicians and newscasters in the early 1990s. Pat Robertson banters about "homos," Al Gore learns how to avoid abortion questions, George Bush talks to Larry King about halcyon -- all presuming they're off camera. Composed of 100% unauthorized satellite footage, Spin is a surreal expose of media-constructed reality.

Re: Spin
This is old footage, but the constant manipulation by the media is so clearly shown, that it can make you ill. Candidates dropped, presidents constantly pushed, and the smarmy remarks by those who are in power and those who are putting them there is enough to turn the stomach of any decent person. Heres tv in all its glory, in a way that is never seen today (all the feeds are highly encrypted now.) even with all our exploits and sharing on the internet, this is a prime view at prime time.

Yeah as I was watching that I was really confused and wondering why it wasn't all encrypted and if these feeds were still available in the US. Thanks for the info, that makes a lot more sense now. I guess they weren't able to transport the data fast enough if it had to be encrypted or the people running the news stations weren't informed enough.
Although it's probably possible to make anybody look bad if you have enough footage of them while they don't know you're watching. Love to see some footage like this of Ron Paul though. It would be good to know if he's actually the person he claims to be.

Re: Spin
I was thinking that as well when i was viewing this, how mr. paul acts and "performs" before the camera rolls.
One can only hope he's as genuine as he appears to be.

Re: Brian Springer - Spin
I found this video to be very interesting. My uncle ran a business selling large satellite dishes since 1985. His incredible insight into elections and the news corps that covered it all was directly related to what he and fellow dish owners viewed during the 80s and 90s before these dishes became archaic and obscure. Thank you for this submission.
