Good, but flawed logic with that cat thing. I ate no meat or poultry for over 14 years and in that time could not have a carnivore pet and still have a conscience. Hence, the guinea pigs as my choice back when. One must be consistent. If you don't eat meat for the ethical and environmental concerns, you cannot espouse keeping a dog or a cat as a pet. Just MHO.
