Dan Savage is frickin' cool. I've enjoyed his straight up sex/relationship advice column, Savage Love, for years. He's quite a perceptive and clear headed man. Definitely kicks that wanker Dr Phil's ass.

I found it funny when Dan was talking with that lady he showed the personal pictures to just after she stated that she thought gays were all sinners (or some such drivel). Once she saw the pics, she immediately went red faced and apologized. This is because she was was made to face a real-life gay person. Dumb bitch didn't want to be mean or inhumane, so she recanted. I think a lot of religious twits are that way: they hate things they cannot possibly understand; it's easy. They're so locked into their faith bubble that they miss the fact that gay people are just like anybody else; they just happen to get off differently. So fucking what.

The world would be such a cooler place if the only prejudices that remained were ones that targeted morons, liars and thieves. (Though I like stupid people because they give me flame fuel. Which is a lot of fun)

PS Don't try to point and say I'm hypocritical because I often attack the religious. For the record, I only attack those religious people who try to influence the lives of others with their wacko beliefs. I simply state my disapproval of their unjust assertiveness - on an internet website - and move on with my day. I push nothing and I hurt no one.

Wow. Savage comes across so well on tv. He's a natural. I'd have thought from his column he'd be a bit more of a hard-ass, but I thought he played those people very subtly. He was polite but firm, listening but staying on his own course. Impressive.
