Re: Dinner With Bill O' Reilly
I know there are a lot of dumb fucking people in this world but how the hell does Bill O'Reilly get taken seriously? The man is a pathetic joke. He should not be publicly received with anything other than mockery and/or spittle.

Oh.. and this clip wasn't very funny. It should have ended with him dressing up ghetto, getting brutally beaten by the police and then having snooty white people ignore him while he bleeds to death. The punchline would come when some asshole listening to an O'Reily audio-book drives by and powers up his window.

Uuh he gets taken seriously because he stands for a segment of politics. He takes the right wing of nearly every issue, and yes, he does take much of what he says too far. I understand why people don't like him, but he's just apart of the media and there's no reason to be so angry at him. Personally, I like Papa Bear, even though I don't agree with many things that he preaches.

He gets taken seriously because he is on the network of the largest media conglomerate in the world, News Corp (FOX News, et al). And that network knows how to us bullying, PR, focus groups, etc. And that's pretty much the only reason.

Re: Dinner With Bill O' Reilly
His messages are pretty much, "Fuck everyone else" and "You're either with me or against me". That kind of simplistic thinking is comforting to alot of people.

"That kind of simplistic thinking is comforting to alot of people."

Even though my question wasn't calling for any explanation, you still nailed it. Yes, most people are happy with a world order that is 'comprehendable'. Shit man, I know i need to strip stuff down so I can understand it... or keep my word count in blog posts down ... or make a joke.

Bill O'Reilly's show (and the rest of FOX news) is complete garbage. I respect and value differences of opinion, but that dipshit is where thoughtful people HAVE to draw the line.

Why can't there be more intelligent right-wing pundits/commentators like Dennis Miller?

PS Yes, i just like to rant. It's fun to do.

Re: Super News: Dinner With Bill O' Reilly
Children, Children, such vitriol for someone on tv. I would go so far as to say that though Mr. O'Reilly is sometimes a pompous ass, Wonderr is correct. He is just a voice among many and despite what you think, he stands for a very large segment of the political spectrum. Bill wouldn't be popular if people didn't watch (that's how ratings and ad sales work). People watch because they want to hear what he has to say. You're welcome to hate all those people if you will but chances are some of them are your friends. Even if you don't have any friends, chances are you wouldn't know a Bill O'Reilly fan if you met one on the street.

"Wonderr is correct"

No shit, really? Wow. Man. All this time I was thinking that Bill was like one of the WWF commentators that spouts offensive things for the sole purpose of boosting ratings. Hmmm... damn.

I wish sarcasm was easier to communicate via blog posts. Either I'm no good at it or people are just too thick.

Re: Super News: Dinner With Bill O' Reilly
You people just don't get it

This is a giant mockery of what happened at Sylvia's

Bill O' Reily never liked the content of Gangsta Rap and and the context that their music videos provided, yet you far left bigots don't see that

This fails not only because it portrays the confrontation of O' Reily and Sharpton by stretching the truth by adding far left bullcrap to it's context but, You people seem to never see things out side of the far left bullshit you've been fed for years

Take a deep breath and relax; it's a cartoon. They're just poking fun.

If you wanna get down 'n dirty about this and actually try to defend Billo, I think you should reread what he had to say about his meal at Sylvia's. Quoth O'Reilly, September 19th, 2007: "I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's Restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship." He was also surprised that nobody in Sylvia's who was screaming "M-Fer[sic], I want more iced tea." There's so much more I could quote here, but it would take up too much space. Consider this the highlight reel.

But, of course, it's the "far left" that is ignorant, not O'Reilly.
