A Rothschildia cincta (Silk Moth) caterpillar is just starting to spin its cocoon. This time-lapse sequence follows its progress overnight, non-stop for 11 hours without a break. The entire process lasts nearly 3 days but only the first 12 hours or so can be viewed from outside the cocoon. The soundtrack is courtesy of TECHNICIAN.
