Boomerangs, bombs, dungeons, magic swords, puzzles, a princess in distress, and a humble but brave warrior ... and more. The Legend of Zelda series includes some of the best games of all time, such as 'A Link to the Past' and 'Ocarina of Time.'

Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Retrospective
So this is quite old apparently, the two latest games weren't released yet.
I like the timeline idea except that I think they got the order of things in Hyrule A wrong. I think it should go Link to the Past, then Zelda I, then II. Otherwise I like the split timeline idea, seems to make sense.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Retrospective
Facing Gannon at the end of Twilight Princess has to be one of THEE greatest bosses i've ever faced. If you've played it i'm talking about the very very final part, where it's just you and gannon sword to sword, no magic no other equipment. Greatest Zelda boss fight ever

Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Retrospective
Yikes! The time line theory suggests that there was a lot of pre-thought into making all of the games unified. Which I would be very surprised if there was any at all.
And the split timeline theory suggests that someone is putting way too much thought into unifying the games.
After all, I don't remember all the games perfectly, but didn't the master sword make an appearance in many of them and it was contained in different buildings with different pre-requisite for being able to wield the sword?
Or maybe I'm over thinking this too. ha

Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Retrospective
Two little nuisances irked me in this lovely hour of entertainment. Epona being said with a hard E, and stating that the PS2 was an impending release in 03. 8)

Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Retrospective
You know given how much work they put in to this and since both games are out, you would think they'd revisit this.
