Quotes included with the video:
"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
- Voltaire
"The great masses of people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one. Especially if it is repeated over and over."
- Adolph Hitler
"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

Irony in that the process of the fairness doctrine's removal, which started this whole mess, began in 1984.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
I'm sort of confused because I thought these companies earned money through the support of their readers/viewers/listeners/customers. I assumed that if these companies got up on a pulpit and starting spewing their views customers would flee. Far better to simply mirror their customers' views. And I also thought these companies were able to gain oligopolies because the government has set up such huge barriers to the entrance of new competition by regulating the air and radio waves. Maybe we shouldn't blame the consumer-dependent media oligarchs but the FCC. Maybe if there were no regulatory barriers to the entrance of competition radio and tv could be like the internet. The internet's a mixed bag, but there's a lot more choices.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Loose Change is garbage. If they were really interested in spreading the truth, they wouldn't charge people to watch their video. I'm under the impression that most of the significant claims in that flick have been debunked numerous times.
The internet isn't necessarily a better source of information than your TV. You have to know where to look.

Good call. It's never the container to blame for the putrid smell. It's the content of the shit that's in the container.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
The internet is a better source of information, in so much as the library is a better source of information. These two sources give you the opportunity to come closer to certain truths -- where as there is little to no opportunity on television to get the truth across; it's too controlled by corporate influence. Take it from someone who works in television.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Yes, but even the internet can lie to you. I rated this clip as good because of the intro and its commentary on the media, but then realized it was about 9/11 truth. Can I have my vote back, now? ;-)

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Look at it this way... someone produces a film "the mainstream media is owned by 5 corporations and they only show what they want people to see. That being said, this is why they keep footage of bigfoot under raps. Look at this shot, you can barely see the zipper. And look this this one where he being beamed up by the ufo. Just ignore the wires that the goverment cropped into the shot." Back up what you have to say with facts, not with 9/11 "truth".

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Also, I doubt that Kennedy agreed to be in this film. There is no evidence that he believes that 9/11 was an inside job, he is just talking about media in general. I do not see these protestors getting this worked up about the Darfur genocide or the destruction of the Amazon rainforest not being covered by the mainstream press, but because it is THERE issue it is of the upmost importance. Yes, who gives a hoot about Paris Hilton? Those stories should not make the mainstream news. Then again, neither should fringe conspiracy stories. The news should always include evidence, not just hear say.
By: TheNextDylan
Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Well lets be honest, I am upset about amazon rainforest and darfur, but that feeling pales in comparison to the feeling you get when if you truly believe our government killed 3000, of its own people and then led us into a war that cost another 3000 troops and 20,000 wounded and killed 600,000 iraqies, took away our civil liberties, cost 2 trillion dollars.
Don't you think there would be possible a difference in the 2 comparisons? Of course people who truly believe in 9/11 conspiracy will be angry about it and protest more than darfur.
I should stop giving my own opinions on these sites though, because i would like to not be sent to one of the newly created concentraton camps within the US in the next 2 years. So I am going to just start smiling and drink the koolaid.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Drink what kool aid? I have been in enough politicial chat rooms to know the meaning of drinking kool aid, and people on both sides say it, and just because they say it does not make it right. There is a good possibility that George W. Bush knew about the attacks and just let them happen IN ORDER TO justify invading Iraq. That is different than saying he planned them out himself. I do not think that the administration would have the capacity to hide something like this, seeing as they cannot hide the fact that they torture, hide the fact that they were set to invade Iran or hide the fact that there were no WMD's. If they were masters of conspiracy then wouldn't they have planted WMD's in Iraq for the media to swallow? Why would people in this government attack buildings to start a war, use WMD's to justify that war, and than have their be no WMD's? That would be horribly planned. So how could they cover up a 9/11 conspiracy and yet could not cover up the fact that there were no WMD's?

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
I know you guys would like to believe that there was some kind of 9/11 conspiracy, but the truth is much worse - our government is a bunch of incompetent, arrogant idiots. Our leaders are way too stupid and inefficient to be able to pull something like this off. It's one thing to lie about WMDs, but it's another thing entirely to fuck up the Iraq War. That's just incompetence.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
AGREED Overall incompetence of the majority of government leaders.
Which leads me to the question, WHY. Why are our leaders who used to be brilliant intellectuals morons. I say the uneducated being allowed to vote. First president voted in by the uneducated: Andrew Jackson. He completly fucked up the american economy by removing the national bank and putting in Pet banks. I also blame him for the spoils system, where the pres appoints people who agree with him, not people who are smart. Props to Abraham Lincoln for not following that and picking the smartest.
So many of our policies are determine by th ignorant masses. 2 examples Welfare and Immigration.
Welfare sounds like a good idea, give those unable to work a break. Picture a single mom with five kids tring to manage a job. Evokes emotion. Yes? Rule #1 DON'T FOLLOW EMOTION! If someone is using emotion to convince you then they have no real argument. That's basic acedemic persuasive speaking... Welfare is something that anyone can exploit. Girl with a law degree, has a 50K job, absoluting fantastic. Buys a 1 million dollar yaht and lives in the carribean fora vacation. Does she come back? No. She found something better than working. Welfare! Keeps her yaht, buys a beach house and raises 3 kids they all got a college degree of -your- tax money. Money well spent?
Immigration. Time to stab the GOP. A wall sounds like a great idea to keep out illiegal immigrants. To the ignorant. To the educated, its useless, seeing how 90% of all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS GET IN AMERICA LEGALY. They just take a vaction to the US and never come back. I have nothing more to say about that.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Blaming the incompetence of our leaders on the uneducated being allowed to vote is a huge stretch. First of all the majority of the poor/uneducated don't vote. No where near the numbers of the "educated". Which is still not a very good percentage.
Our country would be better off if all 100% voted and they voted their true interests. The media confuses everyone so they don't know what is best for them. I know people who have less than 10,000 dollars worth of stock who think lowering the dividends tax rate somehow helped them. This is confusion on the part of the media. Dividends tax the rich, pure and simple. When you cut that you are going to have to get that revenue from some other source like middle class incomes, or go into more debt and devalue the dollar.
Others think getting rid of the death tax will help them. People don't understand the death tax (used to be estate tax) taxes the rich. The estate has to be over 2 million dollars for there to be any taxes. 3.5 million in 2009.
But again this is how the media blatenly misinforms it citizens, and thus they fear there kids will get left with nothing when they die.
If the people truly did whats in their best interest, i think we would have no IRS, go back to original dividends tax rate, tax luxury spending, have huge cuts in the military, bring the troops home, cut spying agencies, get rid of consolidation of media (like we once had), get rid of war on drugs, which saves costs of runing prisons, universal health care with focus on prevention and education, get rid of HMOs and insurance paper pushers, cut federal education budget and get it back in hands of states with local communities, cut corporate welfare, and focus tax dollars on alternative energy technologies. Stop future illegal immigation by going after employers, but not wasting money on rounding up ones that are here.
I think that would be a much better government.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
I don't know if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me. But just to clarify, when I said "uneducated" I didn't mean illiterate or those who didn't get a proper schooling. I mean people, unlike you, who don't know all that.
What I was trying to say was that media should educate the public not misinform them, which, in turn, 'uneducates' them.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
Big problem with this is the 9/11 conspiracy theories. It's very possible that they knew about it but did nothing. Hell I'll take that. But only in the case of their incompetence not because they wanted it to happen, 9/11 threw us into an economic downfall, not worth the possible benefits of war in Iraq.
Also their statistics are unrealiable. In particular the one from MSNBC 68% said yes 9/11 was plotted. This is from RESPONDANTS. Not from a random sample. With polls always ask % of who? % of people who go to your site and feel strongly enough to vote on it or, a random and represenative sample of the american public?

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
I definitely agree the pollss are not random. Definitely a much smaller percentage believe in 9/11 conspiracy theories. But I also hardly ever believe most polls i read. Really can't trust the methods and whether they are true random samples.
When you say 9/11 threw us into an economic downfall, for whom? Many believe the great depression was increased by bankers like JP Morgan, and that ultimately he benefited by bying up competing banks and many companies at pennies on the dollar. Yes it killed the economy and many middle classes familes were forced into poverty, but many at the top benefited by consolidation.
9/11 economic dowturn for many, anyone with pension funds that were generally invested. But not if your money was invested in gold. Your money doubled overnight. Not if your money was invested in defense firms and oil firms.

You can trust polls, just make certain to check if they were done correctly. if you can't or if they weren't then disregard them.

Re: 911: Two Screens, Two Pills
I read down these list of comments and see those who do not agree with 9/11 Truth and do not think 9/11 was an inside job (with Bush at the top of the plot) using the argument that Bush's Administration is incompetent and they site WMD's not being covered up and the failures in Iraq as the main example for that argument.
Let me try and expand your thought process a little and see if this makes sense to those of you that believe the above argument, that Bush was just "too stupid" to pull it off without blowing his cover.
In a conspiracy of this magnitude, you look to history to teach you how they pulled it off and, the most recent conspiracy that comes to mind, is JFK's assassination. A glaring fact from observing that case closely is how much precision is involved. Instant news coverage, instant "facts" being told to the media by the government as to what happened, instant gratification. You only needed to have a TV in front of you on the day of the 9/11 attacks to see how much brainwashing went on 'instantly' after the attacks. Within 2 hours of the towers going down, a scary foreign name was cited, "Osama Bin Laden" had been named the attacker.
Secondly, you notice how clean it all was. JFKs wounds were photographed twice, once in Dallas, once after the plane carrying his body was dumped at an "official" autopsy room... they are not the same. Their is a distinct "cut" that wasn't there before. This "cut" would damage the evidence needed to disprove the governments official story as to WHERE the shooters had to be. Again, tampering with evidence is key. Simple research of news stories, by the mainstream media, will tell you, in black in white, that the wreckage WTC area was quickly gathered up and shipped overseas to be destroyed WITHOUT proper investigation.
It's obvious higher intelligence and real power was involved in both the JFK assassination and 9/11 attacks and turning a blind eye to it isn't going to change what happened.
September 11th is, and always will be, an inside job, perpetrated by a few in very high places, by our own Government, used to cut off our personal freedoms and collapse our economy. And if you haven't looked outside lately to notice, then shame on you, because they're taking it all away - our health, our money, our hope, our freedoms - and will soon become our supreme masters that will control us and use us as pawns in their sick game of playing God.
