Everything was so very Star Wars in that year. Not just lunchboxes and pajamas but pens, coffee mugs, the most popular stencils at many tattoo parlors, etc.

I was graduating high school at the time and was quitting taking drugs for the first of many times. It didn't work back then. Somewhere along the way it did work. But the movies suddenly became less psychedelic.
