I remember being told a similar theory when I was really young on how the Earth was surrounded by water many years ago which filtered out radiation and enabled Adam and Eve to live hundreds of years. Despite being young I thought it was crazy but I just played along with it since the youth ministers will ridicule anyone that questions these absurd ideas.
This is why I strongly object to any sort of religion to be integrated into public schools. And that involves God in the pledge of allegiance and the moment of prayer.
